Test...

Probably won't have the time to fry a turkey this year.

So, I have the choice of allowing a baked turkey in my home or paying Bojangles for one of their "fried" turkeys.

Not too thrilled with either option.

Solid booked on T-Day? Are you a communist or what?

No shit, or do a chicken which takes less time. Sounds like the man is just not that committed to his family or the sacred day. Lazy.

We welcomed a daughter into the world last night. I have a newfound respect for women - it was a laborious and tiring process to be in the hospital room for 18 hours as a man, but to have my wife go through contractions and all go through that and then still end up with a c section is amazing.

Everyones happy and healthy.

Congrats!

We did 2 c-sections and the recovery is a tad harder but getting the baby out safe is the most important thing. The next few months will suck, but just know it will get better.

Congrats! Thankfully you didn't have to watch that kid pass through the love canal. The first thing I thought was, "I will never touch that thing again."

Two weeks later I was begging to get back in it.

Congratulations. Having the baby is the easy part. Raising them responsibly is the hard part. 24/7/365.

Congrats, Phil. Best wishes all around.

Your first I am assuming? My son is 17 months and I still can't believe I helped make him.

First one and first grandchild for both sets of our parents.

pretty special moments right now. Since it was a c section, we've got 4 nights in the hospital, so it's easy going and all enjoyable with plenty of support and high tech eqt around.

Congrats, man! We had 2 c-sections as well. Like Deuce said the next few weeks are a tough recovery period but not as bad as you might think. It's a lot of fun being a parent. You will love it.

Nothing wrong with a baked turkey.

I fry one and my mom bakes one, and I love the turkey she makes.

Are you just not a fan of baked turkey?

Haven't had a baked turkey since I discovered the glory of fried turkey.

Turkey in general just isn't very good, but yeah fried is much better than baked. Give me my choice and I deep-fry a chicken over anything turkey.

Lookit, the rules are you have turkey at Thanksgiving, okay?

So yeah, not a fan unless it is on that one day, which is pretty much the only time I eat it...including sandwiches etc.

But I am not going to deep fry a chicken for Thanksgiving.

You need to save it for Redskins week. You eat chicken then if you are like, a real Cowboys fan, amigo.:unsure

Fine. If we are playing by the rules, I had just as soon smoke a ham. Ham is a suitable substitute for turkey and is widely accepted on thanksgiving.
