My Granny worked at a burger joint/greasy restaurant in Lamesa, TX for 35ish years. The joint was in the hospital oddly enough. It was a real gem in that town for many years. I have great memories of pulling up the the bar on the swivel stools and ordering whatever I wanted for free. The milkshakes were fantastic. I spent many days in there with my brother and cousin harassing all of the old people and building my career as a chubby guy. ~sigh~

It hits a particular nerve with me as I can't have Whataburger where I live. The closest I had was in Brunswick, GA...and it closed down.
