Never eaten pheasant but I understand it is delicious.

Closest I guess I have done is dove hunting.

Dove is good, but I prefer pheasant and grouse. If only because dove are so small.

I got two pheasant yesterday. Deboned all the meat then browned it. Cooked it slow in mushroom gravy. Good stuff.

Yeah, pheasant is definitely better than dove. Never had a grouse. Quail is nasty.

Yeah, I'm in Lubbock. You have to get up on top of the Caprock to get into the pheasant.

Actually, pigeon breast is pretty good. Very close to dove.

I have had Quail and I concur. Its a nasty tasting bird.
