It looks like we've recovered all of our funds that were drained from our bank account.

I contacted each company as soon as we found out, so I think that helped.

My local police station is a joke. I've given them the transactions, the hackers name, address, phone number, and a newspaper clip from his hometown where he robbed a tanning salon last summer.

They have yet to contact his local authorities.

I don't know much about the law...wonder if it's within my rights to contact them myself even though I've filed a report locally.
 
I think I would call them and find out.

Yeah, I think I'm done waiting on these bastards to do something.

Back in 2011, my wife had just bought a new car. Within a week some bitch sideswiped it and left the scene. We talked to witnesses ourselves and got the description of the vehicle and tracked the person down. Turns out she didn't have any insurance and ours had to pay for the damage. But we gave all that info to the cops and they did jack shit. We checked in with them daily for a couple weeks and just gave up.

My mother's home was burglarized a couple years back. We suspected it was the neighbors who'd recently moved in. They stole lots of guns, jewelry, money, and other personal belongings. The investigators came out and wouldn't even fingerprint the fucking place. They left and my brother and I kept looking for shit. Found a flashlight that we'd bought our step-dad for X-mas out in the lot between their yard and the neighbors. It was still on. We knew then it had to be the neighbors. Called the investigators back out, but they said they wouldn't be able to get fingerprints. Nothing was ever recovered and no charges filed.
