I kid, I maintain that a chat room would ruin the site. Game day chatter threads would cease to exist as they do now.
 
I had a ton of fun in chats. I'm not saying we should have them but I have memories that give me warm feelings.

I had fun in them as well.... I just don't think they work well in cooperation with a set up like we have here where game day threads are many times legendary.

One of the greatest times I had here was in a chat the night if the Roy Williams INT at Philly game in 2005.

We went from 25 members or so down to 3, then in the blink of an eye, we went right back to like 30 after the pick 6.

Good times.

The Gameday threads are cool...but the chat things were outstanding at times.

I mean, um...gay. They were gay.
 
I think I would feel differently if the chats could be logged and posted for posterity, which I suppose is probably possible with some chat clients.
 
I liked the chats as well. No filter and sometimes there were epic meltdowns. But, I also see the value in being able to go back and reference stuff, too.

I wanna say it was Thorn.......uhhhhh, this does not lend credence to the idea that the chats were gay.

I was in that chat for sure, not 100% sure I was in there before the pick 6 but it's possible.

It was one of the most active chats if not the most active chat of that season.

Once we got down 13 after teh shovel, everyone sans 3 of us stayed in. Within a minute of Roy's pick 6, everyone came crashing back in.

The chat was littered with comments like "kajsjhfdlalhbrfpuhf9p8734hf3fquphqfuiehpfihierhuifdf"

:lol

Everyone just went nuts because even back then, we've been the team that finds way to lose like that, so I guess nobody knew how to react after actually being the team that came back to win in miracle fashion for once.

A small part of me was expecting Akers to make that 60 yard FG in the last few seconds.
 
Now that the time between posts has gone down, it's a suitable compromise.

And, yes, Ace, I believe the third person was Thorn. His predator ways work better when there are less.
