Who is familiar with the hotel/motels in North Austin, Texas as far as Georgetown? Looking for a suite most probably. I have viewed the standard fare internet stuff but sometimes local info is helpful.

I know that there are a lot of hotels for a pretty reasonable price along I-35 in North Austin between 183 & Parmer Lane, but it is really not the nicest area. Especially around Parmer. I don't know that the quality of the hotels themselves is poor but it just really isn't the most desirable part of town in which to stay, IMO.

I think you would probably be better served to choose a hotel off of MoPac if you stay in North Austin, particularly in the area of The Domain or the Arboretum. That or maybe up in the north 'burbs like Round Rock or Georgetown.

So if you are just looking for the best deal from a purely dollars and cents standpoint then something along I-35 is probably your best bet. If you want something a little nicer in a nicer surrounding area I would look at the areas I mentioned off of MoPac. Just my two cents. Mind if I ask why you are coming to Austin? 'None of your business' is a perfectly acceptable answer if you'd rather not say.

Thanks for the info. I am most probably going to Austin to meet with a long lost family member. As it turns out, I very recently discovered his whereabouts in Indiana and he will be in Austin to attend a friend's wedding. It's a really complicated story and too lengthy to post. He was actually unaware of our family because he was adopted. Again thank you.

For me, it was the watermelon double bubble.

Juicy Fruit, to this day, will just about make me shit my pants, no idea way but if I'm ever clogged up I can chew some juicy fruit and be set free in about 20 minutes.
