Yup.

So, as an incentive to stay with the company, you're given a ton of stock that vests in increments on your yearly anniversary with the company. As part of the change in control plan, all of the stock will immediately vest, so I'm looking at about 25K in stocks on top of my severance.

I'll also get next year's bonus prorated as well.

It's a pretty sweet deal.
 
One thing for sure.

The kid will be an Eagles fan.

damn. Sounds like you may prefer the acquisition. If waiting for IPO, you may never have seen that $25k.
 
Not to brag, but I just got a phone call from Darren McFadden. He really wanted me to buy Arkansas Razorback football tickets for some reason. We're pretty much besties now.

Absolutely.

I'll come awy with a year's worth of salary, if not more, and I already have some interviews lined up so I know I'll find a job fairly quickly.

Pretty sweet deal all around.
