That's because their parents don't bother enough to raise them right. Lazy asses. And it's not really all that hard. It takes a little bit of work, but it's not like you have to give up your life to raise children. Matter of fact it adds to life, IMO. People now want to be their kids friends, and while you can be to a degree, there are times where you have to piss them the fuck off.

Same with school teachers. It's easier being a buddy than teaching.

No doubt. And the easy way is rarely the right way when it comes to raising a kid.
 
Joined the Dollar Shave Club about a month ago, and I must say, I like it. I was a little apprehensive about how good the blades would be, but they are really good. It's hard to have any discipline in the classroom when the damned principals won't back you up. If a kid acts up in your class and you send him to the office, most of them will give them a hug and send them right back to the classroom. Everyone wants to pick on teachers and no one wants to hold the principals and superintendents who make a shitload more money accountable for anything.

A lot of divorced parents fall into having a popularity contest with their kids, it's one of the hidden costs of divorce that parents rarely show a united front in raising their children any more after that. Kids get to pick and choose their rules and extort their parents for concessions.
 
I wasn't picking on teachers. There are some good ones in the system but a lot of the newer ones have a buddy mentality. It's the way they approach the task.

I think that's how they train them these days. I know from experience that when you try to enforce the rules in a classroom you get lukewarm support from the administration and endless bitching from mothers who won't support you and say you're being "mean".

It's also hard for teachers to instill discipline in the classroom when it's not supported by the parents, either. We call them helicopter parents. They hover over their kids and don't establish any kind of accountability.

Yeah, I would say the majority swing towards good teaching tactics. But there are a bunch of them that take the easy way out just to pass the students in the least resistant way possible. But, even that can stem back to the parents. Some teachers get worn down from not having support from the parents of their kids and give up and take the easy road.

Are you still planning on doing a half marathon? I'm at 6 miles now but will kicking it into overdrive starting next week and an hoping to be in good enough shape to do the 13.26 necessary for the event in March.

I can do one, not actively seeking one out, but I am getting between 10-12 miles in a day right now. Break it up into 2 different runs. Furthest I have done in one time was just over 10 miles...I was fresh and could have gone 3 miles more.

I've been a member for about 2 years now. Saves you tons of money and as you mentioned, they have quality blades.

I pay $3 per month for the 3 blade razors. A 5-pack of name brand razor blades will typically run you approximately $13-$15 bucks.
