So What Are Your Expectations Now....

The biggest concern I have is that now that the OL seems to be fixed that we will get frivolous with our picks to address the DL. You have seen teams recently think that they are a player away or something and lump a few picks together to target a specific player or position...I don't want us to do that. We still need depth across the board.

Maybe unfair question that's too early to ask...

Do you see our success this season being just our lightning in a bottle? Or do you see this being the first year of several years of deep playoff contention?

Yeah, I think it's a bit too early to ask that question. As a beaten down Cowboys fan I'm waiting for it to fall apart at any minute due to injuries or the apocalypse.

I was more optimistic during 2007. One bad turn of TO's ankle vs Carolina and everything was ruined.

Exactly my point.

When is the proper time to talk about it? Predictions and projections are what we always do.

A trip to the NFC Championship game would honestly make me ecstatic. Anything beyond that would really just be icing on the cake.

This team has continually disappointed us for so long, I think the majority of us would be more than happy just to see them get to that point.

Damn, Cowboys playing football into late January? Doesn't seem real

I'm a little scared to make a prediction to be honest.

None of this seems real. I'm enjoying every second of it. Mad shit talking at work has begun.

I'd be scared if I saw the team drinking the kool aid and not having a real sense of what they are doing. They seem to know that one false move or day off could kill all the momentum they have built up. It is all business and I like it. Two great examples were the signing and release of Sam and the Randle incident. They both could have taken on a life of their own, but to the credit of the team they remained focus on the season and not the periphery stuff.

Very true. I agree with a post you made earlier... this team just has a different feel about it. Very confident but not overconfident. If they can maintain that into the playoffs, OMG.

It took years to shake it, but this team is finally past the McQuistan stink.

11 wins, minimum.

Oh damn!

~pushes back tables~

Let's do this.

Let's be real. Does this seem like a team that would go to Cabo before a playoff game? Anyone with visions of 2007 is blind as shit in my opinion. This is a far different team.

Right now I'm just hoping to win the NFC East and hopefully get a first round bye. After that who knows? If we pull that off I think expectations as fans should be superbowl.

11-5 is my prediction, but it's too early to say whether that is accompanied by a division championship.

I'll have a better idea in a month.

Wow...this is close to Cowher Elf territory.

:lol

No shit. Could be the most random pic posted on this version.

Hey if the Giants did it, anyone can do it. I'm predicting 12-4, SB contenders.

11-5 I believe is very possible.

The playoffs? Yeah, I think a couple games in is possible, but the D will ultimately let us all down.

Just not enough pressure on the QB...and Lawrence isn't the answer as a rookie.

12-4

Win the NFC East

#1 or #2 seed in the playoffs

NFC Championship game is a possibility. I can see us taking on GB for the Championship. Game would be a toss up and would probably come down to where it was played.

This offense is stacked. Excellent OL, smart, opportunistic QB play, dominant running game paired with a fast, hungry, and scrappy D. It's a formula that has worked well before. Throw in the fact that Garrett actually has the coaching staff looking more than competent, and the chemistry the locker room is displaying-- and this is a FAR different team than we've seen.

That said-- injuries remain a huge concern as depth is minimal, and the D has some holes teams can exploit and not much of a pass rush to speak of. This team still has flaws-- BUT, so does every other contender in the NFC.
