Severe Weather Thread...

Keep losing power here. Pretty big cell going over the top of us right now. Nothing reported to be in it besides rain. But, a shit ton of lightning.

People are so weird.

I hate how ready some are to take whatever they are told in the name of "science" and just easily comply. It's the cars, no it's the cows, no it's the AC. Climate change is just so over used an as excuse to get people to comply with what the government wants them to comply with.

The crazy thing is that nobody is forcing him to use AC. He's just mad they we're not as miserable as him.

It's like the covid shot. It's not about a person protecting themselves. It's about forcing their decision on everyone else for some "greater good" IF everyone stopped using AC it would still be hot as shit for that guy. But he has created in his mind that everyone else using AC has somehow made it hotter for him.

Personally I'll remember this when I'm dealing with -5 temps in January, it's clearly his fault for not using AC during the summer.

I don't know if anyone else here has heard of Phil Hendrie, but I started listening to him back around 2000 or so, and this is one of his bits that got me hooked. Seems like he could do this one again today and it would go over just as it did back then.


"Turn your AC up to 83 because 77 is too low, or you'll get a ticket on a post-it note"

I had not heard it before. If I had I either wasn’t paying attention to what they said (most likely) or I had forgotten. And, yes, we got rain! Lost power a couple of times but it was a decent rain. About 1/2”.

No, they weren’t talking about Lubbock. They were talking about NYC while Mandumbass was giving a press conference about how to find “cooling stations”. It was 88 there yesterday. I looked it up after I heard that. :picard
