Russia Invades Ukraine

NATO plan? To get U.S. troops? Fuck NATO. Doesn't exist without us anyway.
NATO started out with good intentions, but now it's just a huge elite operation for our kids to die and our defense contractors to get rich while the Europeans who supposedly are the ones in danger do basically nothing.

There's a 0.00% chance NATO would be drawing up plans without our military being totally bought in, and more likely whatever plans that do exist were developed primarily by our military.

This is astonishing to me. Putin has said that firing long range NATO weapons into Russia would be an act of war. As any leader would.

When asked about it, Trudeau basically just says well, then Putin shouldn't have done it.

They really do want war with Russia, the country with more nukes pointed at us than anyone. How can they be so cavalier about this?

I would bet it is, just like the hostage crisis ended immediately when Reagan was sworn in.
Probably. But it'll end in Russia retaining that eastern territory, which will lead to endless "Putin Puppet!!!" claims. :doh

Maybe, but I wonder. We have a large negotiating chip in keeping Ukraine out of NATO, or even essentially ending NATO. I wonder if that's enough for Russia to completely pull out. It would give everyone a win.

Can you imagine being a NORK soldier sent to die in a conflict between two corrupt Slav countries?

I'm sure they were all told it was for their lord and master.
