Rolando McClain's Alabama home burns down

hes spoken previously about no longer hanging out with the same crowd he used to. He could have been gang affiliated or more likely it could have been an ex close friend of his that he cut off. I don't think even he is dumb enough to burn down is own home right before he was about to get his first fat contract

It would be if he tried to collect insurance.

Correct. And if he didn't then what the hell would be the point of burning it down when he was trying to sell it?

Could very well be.

Why is everyone assuming it is arson at all. No one was living in the house. Odds are there was some sort of an issue that no one paid attention (Because it's not inhabited) and the thing went up in flames. McClain isn't retarded. Mentally unstable yes but there is a huge difference between mentally unstable and committing insurance fraud as people suggest on here.

I don't think many people are assuming arson. But it is mentioned in the article above and in fact the police are investigating it based on eyewitness accounts. in fact, the police in the article said that these types of situations are inherently suspicious.

I for one do not think it is arson (or at the very least not from McClain), but it is relevant to talk about.

Yep. Nothing really fits self owned perpetuation so far but it will all come out in time

Haven't seen it mentioned yet in this thread, but he divorced his wife in September 2013. He's currently in a dispute with her over custody of their daughter. Seems like she is just as likely a suspect as Rolando.

Does he have kids? Losing a home this close to Christmas is an especially terrible thing. When I was a kid we were at my grandparents house on Christmas Eve and the neighbors house burned down. Luckily everyone was ok, but they lost everything including all the kids Christmas presents. It turns what is supposed to be a happy time of year into a tragedy

Years ago I was on the interstate and traffic was at a standstill to the point where people were getting out of their cars trying to figure out what was going on. Word eventually trickled back from the front of the line that a moving truck had caught fire and was on the shoulder up the road. It was a newlywed couple with everything they owned in the truck. It was all completely destroyed by the flames, including their car which was being pulled behind the truck on a car dolly. :picard

The couple & their dog were OK though!

What a shitty way to start a new life together. Not a good omen for the relationship. I hope for their sake that they are still happily married but I always figured that was a clear sign that their marriage was doomed.

Yeah, I am not saying he did it, but it is the first thing that came to mind. It's worth thinking about, is all.

Probably dropped his cigarette while his wife gave him a hummer.

NO MORE BLOWJOBS!

I wouldn't put much weight in an eyewitness account of someone speeding away from the house. Eye witness accounts are some of the least accurate. People inherently embellish because they want to insert themselves as part of the story when things like these happen. Could have just as easily been a neighbor who saw a car after noticing the house was on fire.

Not saying it couldn't be arson but the instant conclusion that this is insurance fraud is funny. People have been watching too much Law and Order on here.

Yep. There isn't anything yet that points to aarson. If the house was empty I would think the likelihood of vandalism or teen parties getting out of control would be more reasonable. Again, the investigation will sort it out.

I really hope it wasn't something he did. I love the way the guy plays and was hoping the cowboys kept him a while longer. Him on the inside, Sean, Hitch, Durant and the others together our LB group seems to be getting stronger.

I really hope Santa Claus didn't do it, he gives really good presents.
