So... Peterson gets released... Murray wants big money after his contract year.... Peterson willing to take a discount to finish his career in Texas... What do you do?
 
It looks like Jerry will get his wish....

Fwiw I agree, spank your kids -- never out of anger -- when they are young. When they hit double digits in age that is when grounding becomes way more effective.

I got it with a belt maybe 3-4 times in my life. I think bruises maybe once or twice, from my dad.

Mom used a big plastic spoon. Think it was an Italian thing.

I never considered it abuse then and I don't think it would be now either.

Yeah, not sure there is ever a reason to be hitting a kid in the head. Punching or even slapping are overboard, IMO.

Though to be fair I can't see what's under those bandaids.

I don't think that matters.

You don't hit your kids in the head. Especially kids that little.

Now I have heard of parents slapping kids that have gotten too lippy. I've never done it. And it's usually an older kid in the 9-13 y/o range if I had to guess. But even a slap wouldn't leave a gash/cut that requires bandages.

AP has some real issues that need to be addressed by law enforcement.

I want to believe all of this is somehow over exaggerated.
 
Petersen didn't have the best role model with his father. Not making excuses but he probably really thinks knocking kids around is normal.

I think you're right. He has repeatedly said that the whoopings he took made him a better person and the man that he is today.
 
Didn't one of Petersons kids die last year? Beaten by the moms boyfriend or something?
 
I agree with Ed 1000%. You can't use the "it's how I was raised" argument here.
