Rashard Mendenhall reportedly retiring

He's obviously smarter than your Avg. player so my guess is he can live off of that rookie contract and whatever he's gotten from the second one. He was going to get a vet min. contract if at all this time around, so why not just walk away instead of going through the hassle of moving, becoming a benchwarmer expected to play ST's and frick up his body for money that won't really alter his life, and be cut, bruising his ego.

And that's fine. He'd join countless others who have done the same. But he's somehow smarter and more courageous and stuff.

He is way smarter than most afleets from what I can tell. And, yeah, it would take a lot of courage to walk away from even a middle of the road contract to be a fag and travel Europe.
 
What is funny is that today, Rashard Mendenhall made his mark. Average to crappy player, now a symbol of hope for every poor oppressed football player who is afraid to show his more sensitive side and smash through the stereotypes. He is an example for all.
