This is unbelievable. Statewide, 51% voted Republican and 48% voted Democrat — but it was nullified because Dems got 82% of the vote in Philadelphia.

Looks to me like there is still opportunity for at least a 225-210 house majority for the Pubs.
Also have seen a few posts on Twitter that say most of the remaining Nevada votes out of Clark county (Vegas) are from election day and should favor Pubs. Nevada win guarantees at least a 50-50 Senate.

Makes we wonder how Trump won PA six years ago.
It must have been true that, like Hillary, they bought all the polls claiming she couldn't lose.

After that election they tightened things up.

I think this is probably very close to the truth. That is the last election I have seen called on election night.

At this level is where real change can take place. Local and state elections are way more important than federal.

What's your point? Philadelphia is the major population center in the state, that's how elections work.

I'm sure there are plenty of rural areas where Oz got 80% of the vote, there's just less people there.

The electoral college is in place to act as a counter to things like this but what would you prefer? Proportional voting assigned by blades of grass?

Does living in a densely populated area automatically mean your vote counts less? People living on 5 acres are more righteous than someone in a townhouse?

It's this sort of nonsense talk that needs to stop just because one side is mad they lost a particular election cycle.

You really should read up on the electoral college. If it goes away, our Republic is finished.

I literally said the electoral college is in place for things like this.
Yeah, but it sure seems like you're kinda advocating against it. If I read you wrong, my apologies.

I'm not, I'm saying it's ridiculous to get mad because a state election was lost because the vote in a major city went 80% to one candidate and the rest of the state was much closer.

That's the reason the electoral college exists on a national level, I guess you could say I'm arguing against it at the state level but considering it hasn't existed there in our nearly 250 year history I think that's probably a reasonable argument.

Let's be honest, they don't care if you have faith in elections or not. It's all about power and nothing else.

This is going to cause a war if it continues.
