Random Politics Stuff Thread...

Yeah, he had to go.

My question is how in the hell they took him out with a drone strike on a 3rd floor balcony and there were no other casualties.

Sounds way too precision for how we have done things like that lately.
They did it by using a missile with no warhead. The one they used is a modified anti tank missile that uses blades that pop out as the missile nears it's target.
THis one:

Yeah, the administrative state is known to be huge Trump fans. :rolleyes

Have you guys seen what's going on in Arizona with the gubernatorial primary? Two days later and they claim they only have 80%-85% in. WTF is going on out there? Anyone who says there's nothing fishy there is in total denial.

The GOP in Georgia couldn't do better than Walker, a certifiable dummy? And their other "celeb" is trailing in Pennsylvania. Sometimes you just deserve to lose.

Arizona is a massive vote-by-mail state.

Old people.

At least with Walker you can kind of understand the attraction being a football legend in Georgia. The Oz nomination in Pennsylvania is unfathomable.
Dude has supported the concept of transgenderism for kids, has generally supported gun control and abortion.
He is at best a modern "moderate" liberal posing as a conservative.

Walker disappoints me. But he was raised at the Trump teat.

Oz reminds me of Oprah, who, I believe could get elected President if she ran given how stupid our populace is.

Hey, that seems like a hell of a candidate. All he has to do is promise to drain the swamp and he is all set.

Some show on TV about twenty years ago made a joke about Paris Hilton being elected president. And the Oprah thing, too. I could see something stupid like that happening.
As far as the Oz thing, there were obviously a crap ton of people that only voted for him because of his connection to Trump.
Nevermind whether you actually know or agree with his position on the issues...

The issues are confusing to most people. They pick some, not others, overlook things.

We are Idiocracy. Literally.

Unreal.

Like him or not. He’s not my cup of tea, but like Glenn Beck, if you can weed through all the hyperbole, there’s usually something there.

This is the greatest thing I’ve seen in a while.

Is this broad new to how things get negotiated? Nobody ever gets everything they want.

I hate how these turds can't just pick an issue and pass it. They have to include 50 different things in order to try and get something passed. And it ends up with so much bullshit in it. But I guess I'm supposed to just throw my hands up and say, that's politics. It doesn't have to be. But that's the way they do things and they know no other way. You'd see far more bipartisan stuff if they would stop doing that shit.

Perfect example is this latest bullshit. The "Inflation Reduction Act" just hired 87,000 IRS agents. What the fuck does the IRS have to do with inflation? Not even to mention that this act is going to actually increase inflation and not reduce it. God damn, I hate politicians.

Yep, you want to hire 87,000 new IRS agents. Create a bill, that says just that. See if enough of the politicians in the room think it is a good idea to pass, if it is, pass it and move on to the next issue. If not, don't pass it and move on to the next issue. Hiring IRS agents isn't a partisan issue. If it's a good idea, most of the people in the room would presumably be on board. If it's not, than most of the people in the room would oppose and you can move on.

Anyhoo, fucking idiots.
