Shouldn't and wouldn't matter if they had good policies and a good record to run on, but... they don't.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence :/

What she and others in congress have gotten away with financially is just outright corrupt.

I don’t give a shut if you have a D or an R in front of your name. Trading of any kind should be illegal for anyone who has inside information on companies.

Fucking pigs.
It is not just the trading. It is the SIGs and the complete corruption.

And let's be real with each other, it is all across the board.

But hey, whatcha gonna do?

Nothing. They’ve made themselves exempt from insider trading laws if I understand correctly.

It’s just another game they can play that we cannot.

That is the amazing thing.

People actually think that any politician is going to make a difference.

The real rub comes when people vote for their favorite liar.

But hey, let's spend a lot of our valuable time exposing them.

Uh, their chosen career pretty much makes that clear.

How is this not insider trading?

If that witch can go get her hair done during Covid this shouldnt be an issue. F that bitch.

How is this not insider trading?

It is. But congress is exempt from insider trading laws. Just like they’re exempt from rules of Obama Care, and countless other laws that us little folk are subject to.

It’s exactly why a reporter can ask Pelosi point blank if it’s appropriate for her and her husband to trade stock and if it is a bad look, and all she has to say is “Oh, I’d never.”, and that’s the end of the conversation.

Take an hour to read her bio and upbringing. She’s become a multimillionaire while serving for nearly 40 years in public offfice(s). How does that happen? What’s she worth? Something like $300 million? She’s averaged over $8 million per year she’s been in office.

This is why our government is fucked. It’s a scheme, not a job.

I guess the most disheartening thing about the protections that congress members afford themselves currently is, the human condition won’t allow those protections to ever be dissolved.

I mean, who in their right mind would change a rule that is in place to help themselves become wealthy lawfully? I know I wouldn’t, so it’s not a surprise.

It’s like Jordan Peterson explains, we all like to think we’re so morally superior, but the truth is we’re really not, we’re(society at large) just not in a position to show our hypocrisy in the way that would expose our greed and willfulness to exploit.

This is why they would never vote for term limits.

The only way to fix government is to make it an unattractive job like it was meant to be in the first place.

It’s not public service, it’s welfare on steroids.
