When I was in college, I wanted to be a clinical therapist. There was okay money with it but goddamn, people are fucked up. That was too much to deal with. I had three case studies I was involved with. One a cross dresser and the other was gender dysphoria back in the early 1990s when that was borderline lock your ass up.
