You know I'm a Rubio fan, but has anyone been a VP for two different presidents like that? Or even run twice like that? Seriously doubt that would happen.

According to Grok both George Clinton (under Jefferson and Madison) and John C Calhoun (John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson) did it.

Clinton was a long time Governor of New York and was attached to help deliver a big northern state for Virginia candidates.

Calhoun was a political powerhouse and was mad about the supposed corrupt bargain between Henry Clay and JQA so he threw his support behind Jackson in 1828.

As a funny aside both VPs clashed with the Presidents they served under.

I could be wrong but I think I read somewhere that Rubio said he won't run if Vance runs.

Same here man. Could have found 50 just like her on Jensen drive in Houston. You're correct though. I would far prefer someone that is actually from each district to represent the people there. This seems like common sense to me, but it ain't common anymore.
 
Back to Paxton, I really wish Trump hadn't even endorsed him at the last minute. CNN/Kaitlyn Collins was claiming that Trump "upended" the race by endorsing Paxton, which is a total lie because Paxton was already far ahead in the polling. People were going to elect Paxton anyway based on his work as AG and how terrible Cornyn was, having nothing to do with Trump. But their narrative is that the Trump drones came out and changed things at the last second. :doh

Paxton definitely got some points from it, but I seriously doubt he was going to lose without it. I don't know anyone that was happy with Cornyn.
