Random Politics Stuff Thread...

We've been over this I believe.
:lol

Nothing would change with term limits other than you'd limit the freedom of people to vote for whom they want.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Pretty sure I was right then, too. In all seriousness, at this point, I think it's our only hope to clean that infested place up. I mean, taking your approach you keep 10 good congressmen in place because they are doing a good job, and allowing 90 others to stay in place because of name recognition. I just don't see another option besides term limits.

But term limits doesn't solve the problem, just like it didn't solve the problem for the presidency either. (If you think it did, ask yourself who was in charge when Biden wasn't President, because it wasn't Biden).

Term limits gives the parties more control, and I don't think that's a good outcome.

Hoe do you propose cleaning up that cesspool? Cause what we are doing is obviously not working.

If they get slaughtered this November, they'll deserve every bit of it. This fucking bill was a layup.
If they can't even get an 80/20 issue across the finish line we may as well not even have a Congress. This whole thing has been disgusting to me.

Hate to say it, but this reflects poorly on Trump and his influence. An old school Prez like LBJ would be working the phones and twisting arms. I don't get the sense that this is happening, and this is the second time a GOP-led Congress has turned its nose up at the MAGA agenda.

LBJ's own party didn't hate him. We know the establishment GOP never wanted Trump interfering with their grift party. I'm not surprised at all that they're hoping to just wait him out and then go on with business as usual.

I think that's mainly because Trump has been very clear he wants to get rid of the RINOs in Congress. I think he just underestimated how many of them there actually are.

Yep, and it's infuriating. At the risk of sounding like an alarmist this may have been our last good chance.
