In context it's blindingly obvious what he meant. He began by saying, "How about we all come together and say let's stop murders, how about we all come together and say let's stop rapes." Common sense should tell anyone with a functioning brain that the next thing in his list wouldn't be meant to be wildly different.

But hey, idiots that care more about their "side" than truth flock to this sort of thing so that they can have a gotcha moment even if it's pretend.

The point is that when dipshits in the (D) party say or do stupid shit it is hilarious, but not the dipshits on the opposite side of the coin.
