Prospects Dallas Has Shown Interest In - 2022

Reading the tea leaves of that Stephen interview from the owners meetings, I now think we're taking a WR pretty early, Maybe not first round, but early. So the Olave meeting doesn't surprise me.

Also think defense overall will be on the back burner, and they'll take a TE earlier than we'd like.

Anything higher than the 5th would be stupid with the depth in this draft.

Miami (FL) RT Jarrid Williams

Offensive tackle Jarrid Williams, who started 10 games at right tackle last season, said he pulled a pectoral muscle, which is why he only put up nine reps on the bench press Wednesday.

Pro Football Focus graded Williams as the 21st-best offensive tackle (84.6) among FBS players to play at least 217 snaps in 2021. He allowed three sacks and 10 pressures in 347 pass-blocking opportunities but was not selected to the All-ACC team.

“I can move. I’m not stiff,” Williams said. “That’s kind of the little bit (of criticism) I’ve heard. I want to show I’m quick and can move around, my overall quickness.”

Williams said he’ll be working out for the Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings in the next week.

For Otton, yea, I'd be fine spending a 3/4 on Kolar though.

But generally I agree that we probably shouldn't spend more than a 5th, maybe a 4th.

Kolar isn't going in the 3rd.

Unless we take him, of course.

I think we may take a first round WR and if not we may shift gears to a TE like Woods who we think can be a weapon in the passing game. I think the Cowboys have 2 plans there. It's weird we aren't looking at second round and later receivers.

We also probably take at least 2 Olineman. I'd bet we have 4 offensive picks there for sure.

Not so sure. Jelani Woods could be a freak that goes earlier than thought.

I mean I'm starting to come around to him. I'd still be pissed in the second round. But not sure how upset I'd be in the third. His size and athletic ability could make him an actual weapon at TE. Depending what we do at WR we may just go to more 2 TE sets.

Schultz isn't really a mismatch for anyone. But Woods actually could be.

I sincerely doubt we go TE early. We're too locked in to OL, WR, DE. I could easily see us taking one, but I doubt it would be before the 4th.

If he is there in the 3rd still, I guess I could see us pull the trigger there. And I'd be ok with that, depending on what has already happened and what is still on the board.

This is... not good.

He doesn't look that slow and unathletic but then the question is why were his numbers that bad? He clearly was not prepared and that is a big concern too. I wonder if the guy is lazy or a shithead. You watch him play and there is no reason the dude couldn't at least run a meh 4.8 forty. Either way the guy is a big red flag for me that I wouldn't consider until late as a special project.

I'd be fine rolling the dice on him in the 5th and seeing if he can figure it out, he was talked about as a 1st for a reason.

You watch the guy play and he looks pretty good. Has RAC ability and all of that. So how does that guy run a 5.0 forty? I mean that's like DT speed. Everyone should be running him down easily. As a team I want to know why his workouts look like Joe Blow off the street because they shouldn't be.

The first 3x's Dallas picked #24, they got instant success. Could history repeat itself?
