A good money manager I like to listen to, an older guy who has seen a lot of boom and bust cycles, says he doesn't think we'll see a true mania/bubble the next couple of years because the media's constant fear mongering -- due to Trump being President -- will keep people from getting too exuberant.9/10ths of the health of the economy is the perception conveyed by those who have the ability to artificially shape the narrative.
Consumers crash and rebuild it, and we only ever crash it if they tell us to. And we never disappoint. If they tell us it’s time to worry, we hoard that money and create exactly what they want.
I'd never thought of that, but it's a pretty good point and he's probably right.
