It couldn't be more obvious that this stuff was always politically motivated. And that alone should have prevented anyone from voting for that side.

Hopefully the fact that it didn't work will dissuade anyone in the future from attempting this tactic.

Yeah, I'm not sure why we can't find a state that has an AR ban like Maryland, challenge it, get it in front of the Supreme Court.

Do it now while you still have Thomas. He's the champion on that after Scalia's departure.

Thomas has to get an AR opinion on the books and then retire.

I guess they might be nervous on an AR case with Barrett and of course there's no telling what Roberts will ever do.

I'm also not 100% certain on Kavanaugh either. I think he backed some gun legislation from his time in DC.

As an aside, once Roberts retires I think Gorsuch should be Chief Justice.
