But they probably just thought their lawfare would defeat Trump, so it didn't make that much difference.

Oh, I think they were heavily banking on Trump's "conviction". I just think they have no clue the box they just opened.

Neither are fit for office. So, fuck their primaries. Both are criminals and shouldn’t be anywhere near the White House. Find an actual conservative and put him/her on the ballot.

Why do we have to be saddled with two old, incompetent losers? I recognize that the Democrats are incapable of finding a reasonable candidate due to their policies, but the Republicans should be able to find one from time to time. It would sure as hell be nice if they offered one. Otherwise, the Democrats are going to leverage the filth that is Donald Trump and force Gavin fucking Newsom and his liberty stripping, gun grabbing manifesto onto us. And he'd win.

Just what the US needs, to become more like California. Dude can't even run that at a serviceable level. And frankly that should be the easiest state in the country to run.

Newsom is a fucking scumbag, but it's quite clear that he's the next one in line for that party. His "policies" are built on one of two things: tax it, or ban it. That's literally it.

I mean seriously, the guy is faced with a State that has beautiful coast line and the potential for easy tax revenue. You have wealthy people and industry there. The State of California has almost every advantage a state could have in my opinion to make it great. And yet, that place is nothing but a giant dumpster fire that I wouldn't live in if someone offered me a free house there. If that's the result of being a true "Liberal" everyone should be terrified of being a Liberal.
