They are but this is not what this thread is about.

I've got a really crazy dog. We've tried to train her but she continues to terrorize folks. Ever chance she gets she runs away and acts like a retard. She's seems like she wants to hurt somebody. Today she opened the front door and bolted towards a dog on a leash. The lady starts fraking out because our dog bit and attacked the other dog. She falls down and hurt her arm pretty bad. The husband came over to talk to us about it. He was a really cool guy about it. He brought up the fact that our dog got out and attacked dogs in the neighborhood before, which is partially true. She runs around like a a crazy ass dog when she escapes by circling dogs on leashes and generally being hyperactive. Folks in our neighborhood are really tired of it. We've had several bangs on the door because one of our kids let her out or she somehow escaped. This damn dog scares the crap out of everyone.

We've tried shock collars with mild temporary success. She ate the remote one day after she climbed on the counter and found it. I know that all of the dog experts here claim that owners are to blame for dumb dogs...I don't know...dogs are animals. Which means that they are stupider than humans. Some humans have good raisings and still manage to grow up to be idiots.

I don't know what to do with this idiot dog. It seems like its time to churn her from the roster. Any advice on how to get this dog off of my hands? The neighbor is going to the dr tomorrow. She can't really move her arm. I can't have a dog causing all kinds of hell for everyone in our neighborhood.

I had a dog that was about that stupid. I gave it back to its original owners because it could break out of Alcatraz if left alone. Apparently it's original owner's wife gave him to her dad and that's cool because he's retired and has actual kennels on his ranch that the bastard dog can't break with his retard strength.

If no one that you know can handle the dog and wants it, put a .22 in its head and bury it.
 
Some dogs just cannot be trained to conform to domestic habitats. Separate yourselves from this animal before a friend or stranger becomes a victim and subsequently owns everything you now own and hold dear. Ditch the mutt.

If they are being aggressive to the point of attacking other dogs you should put them down. Think how you will feel if she escalates to attacking a child. If nothing else you don't want the financial liability

I agree with this. I think the best thing to do would be to put it down.
 
If it shows aggression towards other dogs, it could easily turn that aggression on your kids, brother.
 
The dog snapped at my 8 years old drawing a little blood. I beat the crap out of the dog but didn't shoot her in the head because I warned my daughter about annoying the dog. She lays on it and gets in her face all of the time. At least she did until this happened.

The dog actually freaked out growling a snapping at my 18 year old son for no reason the other day. It is his dog and he a has a bond with her. So, that can't be good.

Yeah, dude, I would put it down. No dog is worth the compromised safety of your kids.

Unfortunately that's probably the best advice in this case unless you can get Cesar Millan to your place ASAP. It's sad and it sucks but if you've exhausted every training/behavioral option there isn't much left to do.
 
Just talked to my buddy who is the animal supervisor dude here in NB. He's the biggest animal lover you will find. He's telling me the same thing that you guys are.

Not good news.
 
Feel like I'd either give away the dog thereby letting someone else make the call, or take it to be put down without me personally being the one to put it down.

Jesus. FAIL advice. Man up and take care of it. How bad would he feel if this dog hurt one of the kids or somebody else he gave it to?

It sucks, but sounds like it has to be done.

You kill your own dog,m you dont pawn it off on someone else to make you feel better. He was yours, he was loyal, he deserves that respect.
 
Human Society says bring her in and do the deed tomorrow. Geez. Not good.

Well I think I'd tell them it was a problem dog, not like I wouldn't disclose that.

It's still awful to hand off a problem dog for someone else to handle.
