Pick 92: Jaishawn Barham EDGE/ILB/OLB

True or at least on that trajectory.
Just fing sucks that he's going to miss this season, because that boy is special. NFL is losing something special this year.

But actually I'm really excited for Dallas.

MUCH more optimism than last season, especially having realized the draft value a year early thanks to the Quinnen Williams trade.

We have a lot fewer weaknesses defensively all around, coaching, all three levels, and depth.

Gotta shore up our OT's and develop our RB room. Need Guyton, Steele, Mafah, Leupke, and Blue to step up. I'm even excited to see more from Spann-Ford.

Fuck Parsons, I hope he pops another ACL this year when he comes back, personally.

Seriously doubt Lawrence can ever do that, but that's okay, there are other ways to get it done.
He can because he’s got more length and mass. Length is a huge advantage in pass rushing. Longer arms allow earlier contact with whomever he’s hitting and like a longer lever can apply greater torque. His short area quickness combined with his greater mass gives him a high speed to power conversion— and again, he hits sooner with his longer reach and torque

So while Lawrence might not have Parsons’ power level yet, he has the potential to reach it and maybe more. Gonna come down to developing his bend and keeping his pad level low.

Last I’d say their speed and burst is comparable and leans in Lawrence’s favor based on their 10 yard splits, which Lawrence completed in 1.57 seconds relative to Parsons’ 1.59 and also their high jump difference of 40” for Lawrence to 34” for Parsons. I know it’s not proof, but these measureables show Lawrence’s potential power.

I would like to get excited, but I am not certain about him.

But then I understand that Downs will control him and everything he does and I feel better.

Say that reminds me, Downs gets the dot, right?

Or are they going to try to will it upon Winters along with an assist from Curtis Robinson?

I think they give it to the guy who earns it. Right now that’s Winters, based on his having it in SF.

I can’t imagine it not being Downs, though at some point soon

They're going out of their way to say they don't want to talk about that now. Guess they have to see who is capable and who isn't.

But I thought in one of the PCs BS said it would be a linebacker.

But I thought in one of the PCs BS said it would be a linebacker.

I feel like I remember that too.

One of the reporters was saying they prefer it to be a LB because he's in the middle of everything and can communicate with pretty much anyone if need be. A safety is too far back too often.

Someone said it could potentially be a nickel because he's up there too, which would seem to mean Downs would be a possibility. But to me that would then mean Downs can't play deep so I kind of doubt that happens.

I don't think it would mean he can't play back at all, if that's the rationale I'm sure it's just generalizing. If Downs is in the box about 75% of the time, which is about what I expect, that should easily be enough for him to do it.
