This is floating around Twitter and the Zone.

I trust Glazer so I think it's legit.

3 DC's in 3 years, perfect. Gotta love the lengths idiot Jerry will go to make excuses for his handpicked idiot.

So Marinelli either becomes DC or leaves to be with Lovie Smith somewhere. If he leaves we are screwed. If he can be convinced to stay I thinks its an upgrade over Kiffen.

I like Marinelli but we were screwed with him too. I honestly couldn't care less if he leaves. Seriously. This defense was among the worst in NFL history and he was a part of that.

And two OC's. Nobody else ever survives so many staff changes in a short HC tenure and still keeps there job.

Now that he's fired, I'm officially on the Jim Schwartz for DC bandwagon. This team needs someone, anyone who will kick it in the ass.

Did he run his own defense in Detroit? Because Detroit's defense wasn't that impressive, IMO.

I'm not sure how much of a role he took in it. Gunther Cunningham is an experienced DC so I doubt he just takes a back seat the entire time. I do know Schwartz's DL played nasty and at a high level and his defenses in Tennessee were solid.

He's totally not the Garrett mish-mash type though.

I would prefer Marinelli as the defensive coordinator and then bring in the best secondary coach available. It doesn't seem to matter how much pressure we get, or how much talent we add, our secondary seems to continually get burnt by the most simple passes. I think Marinelli is a stud coach and I like his attitude. I'm sure we will clean house if we really fire Kiffin. If Kiffin simply retires I could see Marinelli take over. I really hope we stick with the 4-3 though. If we bring in a new defensive coordinator I would take anyone from the SeaHawks defensive staff.

It's also obvious guys like Claiborne and Webb badly need some guidance

I'm with booze; I hope Horton shakes loose. I think he's our best possibility and I'd go back back to the 3-4 in a heartbeat if it meant getting a DC of Horton's caliber.
