Bills took Bruce Smith of course.

Vikings had already traded their 2nd round pick with the Oilers to swap from the 3rd overall to the 2nd overall pick in the 1st round.

It was weird. Because of the borked Kosar situation, the Vikings agreed with the Oilers not to draft Ray Childress in exchange for their second round pick back, and the Oilers drafted Childress with the 3rd pick.

They must have forced the Falcons to honor that agreement, because they traded pick 2 back with the Falcons for an extra 3rd round pick and drafted a Hall of Famer in Chris Doleman with the Faclon's pick (4 overall).

In the end, Minnesota got a Hall of Famer in the 1st, Ike Holt in the 2nd, and an extra 3rd from Atlanta who got Bill Fralic.
