I like a change to the XP. 42 yarders were made pretty regularly. I'd move the 2 point conversion back to the 5 to give offense a little more room to operate.

I think rule changes on pass interference and illegal contact have changed the game more than anything else that's happened since 1979.

Yes and that is part of player protection as well as the ball possession aspect of a completion. But neither rule change has hurt the game in my opinion.

How about just making the FG posts more narrow?

...and while we're at it, how about taller by 2 feet?

I like this idea more. Stick Carolla's net on there too
