Just finished watching Coming 2 America.

Eh. It had it's moments. Wasn't as bad as I expected, but not nearly as good as it should have been. Certainly didn't live up to the original.


General Izzy was hard to watch. They tried too hard with his character and entourage.

I'll be kind and give it a 5/10.

I think if they'd have done the sequel within a few years of the original they would have come up with a better plot and overall movie. Hard to recreate the magic from the original with 30 years between films.

I enjoyed the cameos and the references to the first movie. I kinda think they should have gone with a comedian to play the role of Hakeem's son. Someone who would have added more laughs to the role.
