Ex Machina was a nice little surprise. Didn't expect much but a good story and good effects. Plus Oscar Isaac is good in everything and he's in the new Star Wars, so it gives me hope for that.

So your next Spiderman is Tom Holland
What is it with casting British actors constantly for American roles?
I heard an interview with a British actor once (Sean Bean maybe) and he was asked about it. He said its easy for Brits to imitate the accent cause they watch so much American TV and movies, they grow up doing it already.I read something on this once. The basic premise was that all American actors have that manboyish quality.

In a BBC radio program broadcast late last year, the British director Stephen Frears (Dangerous Liaisons, High Fidelity) said, "There is a kind of crisis in American acting. It is very noticeable." He added, "If I were being tedious I would say it's the lack of a theater. When you work with someone like Annette Bening or Glenn Close, they are highly trained. It's like working with Judi Dench. They are the real thing. But a lot of American cinema doesn't have that background."
Variety's Gray said, "Britain has a theater tradition that goes back centuries. There is recognition that if you want to be an actor, you have to pay your dues, which often involves long runs in the theater and/or repertory work. There are many American actors who also share this work ethic. But there are a lot of athletes and reality-show contestants and singers and models who think, 'I'll bet acting is fun,' and unfortunately, some people will hire them. I don't get the sense that U.K. acting allows as many dilettantes."
Inside Out was another Pixar home run. One of the best movies they have made. If you have a young daughter, take her...she will love it.
I took the day off of work and my daughters & I went to see it. Very good. Hits you right in the feels. Pixar does it again.
Yes, I am looking forward to the Minions movie.
