Murray watch thread...

I want a bigger back to replace Murray. Have my eye on Gurley, Cobb, and Johnson...watching Gurley he was a one cut and go guy, which would be perfect for us. If we got him at 27 he would be a steal.

I know it is a business, but I don't think players respond well to a guy taking money and a job from someone. He is going just that to Mathews if that is the case.
 
this definitely hurts, but fuck DeMarco. RB is high priority now, maybe even in round 1 depending on what defensive lineman are left

Yea, Murray didn't come out looking good at all.

Oh well, I just hope we have a plan in place for this and that we were prepared to do move on if this didn't work out.....and I hope that plan is a good one.

This isn't war, but these guys do battle it out against those other guys and there is a genuine disdain for some of them. Those are natural feelings that develop when you're in a heated competition of some sort.

You can't tell me we didn't truly hate the Giants about 3 or 4 years ago and that our guys dislike for Brandon Jacobs and Osi Umenyiora wasn't real.

I think some guys would've been bothered had one of our key FA's have done back then what Murray is doing now.

You can't tell me Dez's dislike of Malcolm Jenkins and other guys on that defense is fabricated. I just think some of these guys will be bothered by it, but they'll all most likely get over it once the season starts if he ends up being a Cowboy.

Dez's dislike of Malcolm Jenkins the Saint, or Malcolm Jenkins the Eagle? Deion was hated in SF, adored here, and an afterthought with the slurs. Trash talk is just that. I don't think there are any residual effects.
 
BTW...fuck DeMarco Murray. Same with every other player in the league that is not a Cowboy...minus JFF.

Oh, okay, that makes sense now. I hadn't seen her comment on it until now and it looked weird.
 
Even if Murray flounders in Philly it's probably a safe bet he'll tear it up against us twice a year. It seems like every time a prominent player feels dissed by the Cowboys either in the draft or FA they have field days every time they play us.
 
Go get Hardy now...look into Michael Johnson too. O'Brien Schofield intrigues me too. Pat Sims, Randy Starks...I'd even look at Bowen again. We have a chance to upgrade the DL once this initial rush on FA is over. I bet a couple other players shake free as well. Phillip Wheeler from Mia would be a nice add too.

Wouldn't surprise me. Tag Dez and let Murray walk. Many won't see it as savy business decisions but something more nefarious.
