Murray vs Peterson?

Injury prone.:unsure

Then he'll assuredly fall. And I'm not concerned with the ankle or thigh injury he had last season. He's been healthy this year, and being suspended for over half the season will keep extra tread on his tires. I'll gladly take Marshawn Lynch 2.0 running behind our offensive line.

I was just joking I would be all for getting him if he fell to us.

I'd rather draft Malcolm Gordon if we lose Murray.

i think you mean Melvin, and I agree.

Yes, Melvin.

He'll be the best pro back from this draft, and he might just fall to the 2nd because of how little RB's are valued these days.

I'd take him if Murray went for huge dollars. I do not understand how he could do what he did, but I think now this team could handle a player like this. The media and fans forget fairly quickly.

I agree.

If Murrary wants 4-5 years, for $30 million or more, and you can get Peterson for like 3 years, $15-$20 million because he wants to be in Dallas (he'd have a passing game supporting him for once, maybe sees a chance for some postseason success, and Texas is home for him), I think I go with Peterson.

He's a better player and it's not really a question.... or at least he was. Obviously you don't do it if you think he's running out of gas. But frankly Peterson is an All-Timer, and that's the kind of player you roll the dice on. Murray might be Jamal Lewis who burns out after his 2000 yard season.

Then yeah, you go draft a back in the 3rd round in the next year or two.

Who is a better RB in football right now?

There may not be any having a better season but if I'm building a team, Murray is not the back I pick first. McCoy, Lynch, Forte, Foster... maybe even Giovanni Bernard and Eddie Lacy as guys I'd possibly take over him.

Peterson is just as much a risk coming off all the crap that's happened at his age as Murray would be coming off a 400 carry season. If I'm moving on from Murray I want it to be for a person with fewer career carries, not more.

Fine schmitty, he's performing like the best back in football.

I can't agree with that.

The OL is too dominant. Murray has always been good but this is too big a jump for me to think its him.

Plus I see the holes they are giving him.

He's playing really well but Beast Mode he is not. Or LeSean McCoy, who has struggled behind a bad OL in Philly (shocking!).

It is kinda amazing how bad the talent is at RB in this league right now though.

No Jamaal Charles? Alfred Morris?

Murray looks like a complete back. Dominant in the run game and willing to block. Fine. He is also often injured. Again, I do not see the rush when it comes to a new contract. Play out this year. Franchise him next year and make a decision after that. Right now, my decision at that time would be to let him go; but if he becomes a legacy back over the next 18 months, we can revisit.
