With the NFL Scouting Combine beginning on Feb. 17, Mike Mayock unveils the first of his position-by-position rankings for the 2015 NFL Draft.

He just does some odd ball stuff with regards to changing positions.


I don't even think Floriday fans would claim Dante Fowler, Jr. is the best pass rusher in this draft.

Pure speed and edge rushing only, I absolutely think he is. He is just too damn light and is going to have to be another Bruce Irvin or something unless he miraculously can carry more weight.

Gregory is getting some Dion Jordan comparisons, which I can see. Ray may end up being way shorter and lighter than listed...he also played with a good cast around him that could have made him appear better than he is.

Honestly, I like Beasley out of all of them. He seemed the most consistent guy to me.
 
I like Gregory the best of this group. Pelini moved him around and had him rushing from all over the place. Not the same body type, but I get a Von Miller vibe from the guy.
 
Also...any WR list that does not have Copper 1 is invalid. Yes, White is a fine player, but I think Cooper can be special.

Meh, his 5 sacks during the regular season don't exactly get me excited. Just didn't see a guy taking over games when I did watch Florida. I'd take Randy Gregory over him any day of the week in terms of pass rush ability. Same of course goes for Shane Ray who was actually productive as a pass rusher in the SEC.

He's not the only one. Cooper is getting some down pub lately, supposedly due to his frame, which is a little out of the supreme prototype.

I like Beasley too but what is he going to play at 230?

It will be interesting to see how he moves in space at the combine.

Easily the most explosive pass rusher in this draft but he is really small even for 3-4 OLBer.
 
i usually value Mayock's opinion, but it honestly looks like hes projecting players way higher than they are just to be different from the crowd of draft analysts. I don't like his lists at all so far this year
