Melton Signed

Good news on Melton. Hopefully that means we take BPA in first round, or close to it. But I think we'll fixate on DE. Welcome to Dallas, Kony Ealy.

Ealy would be a great pick. Man it would be great if would could trade down and pick up another pick and still get him. Anyone know where he is slated to go?

hang on, adjusting my black armband...

Good signing. Still does't explain ass (can we cuss here?) backwards mentality of signing journeymen and back-up QB's first.
Only in certain instances.

Ie: Kony Ealy is a fuckboi.

I have to admit, Mike Fisher's shitty little Tweets the last half hour are kind of funny.

It is almost like he's disappointed.

Nothing wrong with Ealy. He is a solid player with good size and speed. We could do a lot worse.

Sure, if we traded down. Like way down. He is not the 16th best player in this draft. Not even close.

Trade down to end of first and get that pick. Then we can all hope Jerry doesn't pick up another Damn TE with it.

Man this guy is so horrible.

He is late with everything accurate and when he is early, he is just wrong. A real clown.

Post the Super Bowl-time gif of him hi-fiving a fan's face.

It sounds to me like Melton wanted a prove it deal which allows him to recoup his value so I'm guessing the first year is relatively minimal but the option years are probably inflated, so basically he's either recouping his value by forcing the Cowboys to exercise expensive options or he gets to test the market if we don't want to pay up.

This was mentioned in passing in the Twitterverse this morning after he left for the Rams. At lot of folks thought he was about big money long term, but in reality, short term up front works best for him.

If he does play well, he has a built in cheerleader in Marinelli who would beg Jones to extend. Probably is a smart strategy.
