That sure would be an odd deal but I guess it is the Cowboys way of making sure they don't get burned on the injury. The nice thing about this move is it takes the pressure of signing Allen. Now we can kind of wait and see with him. If we didn't get Melton it would have put a lot of pressure on Dallas to go out and sign him.

I am impressed we got it done without restructuring anyone or even panicking.

I don't think I want to be.

My main deal is we had to get one guy and free up the draft options, to at least be able to breathe.

Humorous how his "agenda is to enjoy the Dallas Cowboys" but his first instinct when we make a great FA signing is to post a snarky comment about "gloom and doomers". Like clockwork.
