Per Rapoport on Twitter. Says "serious leg injury".
Fffffuuuuuuuuu....

He wasn't exactly killing it the second half of the season anyway. Not sure (outside of depth) this hurts us much.

Drop in production or not, he's one of the very few pressure players we had on the line.

This injury is gonna hurt the team.

Sucks in terms of having a rotation but the guy has been invisible for about a month now, McClain looked to be out playing him yesterday from what I saw.

Yeah, McClain looked good yesterday. I'm not sweating this.

Hurts depth a lot, especially if fat ass Brent can't get on the field.

fat ass Brent

He had better be front and fucking center at this point. And of course, Jerry will babble ceaselessly
about this being the very reason we kept Brent in the family portrait.

Crawford is the guy to be concerned about.

Sounds like 'ol Jordan knows Henry isn't getting his option picked up and is protecting his FA player.

It stinks from a depth perspective but I think losing Crawford would have hurt more.

A big bag of nothing.

If I had to pick one player to lose for the playoffs from that Washington game, it probably would've been Melton. He's been useless for weeks

I still would like to bring him back on a decent deal.

The guy can play and he's still probably not 100% recovered from his knee injury. With the season he just had, I doubt teams are gonna be lining up to sign him to a big contract, so why not bring an interior player on the line who is capable of getting pressure if you can do so for around 2 or 3 mill a year?

If he's willing to sign another 1 year deal, or even a 2 year deal at like 5 million, I'd be all for bringing him back and seeing how he does with a full offseason under his belt.

They have officially put Melton on IR.
