I don't like Hoffman that much but he did play well down the stretch last year. I'm happy to have him compete. But ultimately you should leave Beebe at center. Switching him around would be stupid at this point. Let Hoffman compete with Bass and Asim Richards for that RG spot. The losers become your top backups.

If I were confident there was a Frederick-type in this draft, perhaps. This is a pretty weak center class. We are better off going guard later on after Hernandez is our prized FA jewel.

It's an awful center class. The only center I might take is the dude from North Dakota State who was an OT but can play center. And even then I just put him at RG. Zabel I think would make an excellent RG if he lasts to the second round.

Much easier to grab a really good guard in this draft.

Like c-rock said, we already have our center. We put a whole season into developing him and he came along great. He's going to be a stud there for a long time. Let's just consider that position settled and find a guard somewhere else.

Based on who we hired, our coaching had major room for improvement. Hopefully we have actually since improved and Guyton benefits either as a direct result or through natural improvement.
