cant argue that. thats the stuff i was hoping to see, but never panned out. I wish him well in LV. Maybe Gruden can get more out of him.

no but at one time he was good at getting players to run at the QB. Which was a better scheme than Dallas who had the scheme, "run past the QB full speed"
 
Marinelli needed top talent for his now very old DL scheme. I hated Jimmy and Waanstetd’s 7 little men scheme too, but they had an eight deep rotation on the DL, two legit stars and multiple very-goods.

Run that same 1992 scheme in 1997 with Tony Tolbert, 2nd tour Tony Casillas, and Chad Hennings forced into starting roles because their owner still thinks they are the same players they were, with Shante Carver, Kavita Pittman, and a suspended Leon Lett founding things out... don’t work so good and it doesn’t matter who your coach is.

The NFL has evolved beyond both systems, and systems are always overrated next to talent. Well, history is repeating itself.

Jerry Jones thinks Lawrence, McCoy, and Poe are the same players they were five years ago and Gregory and Crawford are the 2020 versions of 1997 Pittman and Carver.
