I have been worried about him because he hasn't been around in over 2 months and hasn't posted in quite a bit longer than that, so I reached out to his grandson on FB. I ended up talking to the grandson's wife. I figured others might be concerned as well, so figured I would post what I found out.
He has been in and out of the hospital for a while now. He has had some medical issues that are mainly age related. He just got past a severe infection and is waiting to be released from the hospital to a rehab center. Sounds like once he is finished at the rehab center he will be good to go. She said he is in good spirits and still ornery, so that's good. We know how he can be. He has made it clear OU is the best school evar!
So good news on that front.
Anyway, I had been concerned and I am glad I was able to get an update. It took a weight off my shoulders as he has been weighing on my mind recently. If anyone wants further details, PM me. The granddaughter in law asked some things be kept out of public view, so I have told you guys what I can in a public forum. I can share more in private, just not here.
PS. She said that if we wanted to send something it would probably be best to send it to his daughter's house while he is still in the hospital/rehab. So, you guys can let me know if you want to send something to him. She said it would brighten his day, but it's entirely up to y'all if we do something as a board.
