I don't know if you've ever tried, but try to explain to your real life friends what the DCC is and this thing about discrediting a guy named Hostile. The reactions you get are hilarious.

"Yeah, so I chat online with a group of cowboys fans but we usually don't talk cowboys - mainly poop stories and hot sauces. Anyway, there's a guy named hostile, cuz another football player asked 'why so hostile' after getting bit and the name stuck, when who leads a rival chat room and, well, he's split off to create his own forum now, but he's always lying about his accomplishments to be an internet hero...so anyway, he's got this story about a crazed dog that he talked down over the phone and one of our dudes took this dog picture and added the caption 'yes, this is dog' and omfg lulz ensues." ~deep breath~
 
It's even funnier when you do it in a Charlie Murphy voice like how he resells the Rick James stories.

I wasn't here for some earlier ones, but Cowher elf was my favorite. It was WTF combined with the thought of Skid reclining in his chair and smiling about the awesome joke he'd just dropped that still makes me laugh.
