LOL @ the Redskins

At the time he died, he had become a good player for sure, but he wasn't even the best safety in football at that time and yet Redskins fans will have you believe he was this generational player.

He was miles behind both Ed Reed and Troy Palomalu at that time.

Yeah, that is the reality of it.

It is tragic that he lost his life, but I have no fucking idea about the creativity there is regarding his career accomplishments.

That said...

He couldn't carry Brian Dawkins' jockstrap either

Just wait until he gets in the HOF before Darren Woodson.
Dude, I would lose my shit.

Being dead and also a victim of gun violence lends major political advantages for Taylor's bid. Just reality.

People take Woodson for granted, not realizing a big part of why the 1992 defense was so good was a nickel package featuring Woodson killing it as a rookie. He only got better from there.

Emmitt had that dominant game playing hurt vs the Giants in 1993, and Woodson was his silent counterpart coming back from a broken arm to have something like 18 tackles in that game alone, setting a Dallas record.

It's Woodson's career in a microcosm. Brilliant player, outshined by a very few even more brilliant.

Toxic work culture is bullshit and in and of itself doesn't feel like a crime. The rest though are pretty big problems.
The word toxic is so overused anymore that it is ridiculous. This probably is an actual toxic workplace issue though. Not Joe hurt my feelings but actual harassment and bullying with no recourse.

The NFL should face consequences but I doubt they do because rich people don’t play by the same rules and this is a huge organization that hasn’t had to play by the rules for a long time.

Yes exactly, that's the issue. If it's "toxic", that's a civil not criminal issue. The government shouldn't be involved.

I do think there were probably criminal things going on, but prosecuting on "toxic" leaves way too much leeway for interpretation as to what constitutes toxic.
