LOL @ the Redskins

Here is something to consider: if the Redskins cut Robert Griffin the third, do you try to sign him to be Romos back up for two more years and try to teach him some fundamentals?

No if you mean for him to take over after Romo. Just too fragile..

Is there anything you have seen of Griffin to make you think he is an NFL QB.? I haven't.

He has physical skills. He needs work on his fundamentals. What I was implying was that if he served as a backup for a couple years he might be able to concentrate on that aspect.

Plus it would be a huge Fuck You to the Skins if he panned out.

Do you think he will leave the Skins and do you think he will reduce himself to becoming a backup?

I am no fan of Griffin but did you miss him leading a team to the playoffs and beating Dallas to get there?

Was he not a NFL QB at that point/

Let's not act like he has no skills to play in this league.

I think he will leave the Skins either after this season or next. I don't think he will reduce himself to becoming a backup though. I think he thinks way too highly of himself to want to sit and learn. My guess is he will only go to a place where he can have an easy shot at the starting spot. Might not be best for his long term success but I doubt he will have the long term vision to keep that in mind.

From the rumor mill, no link. The source is someone that was listening to Chicago sports radio and heard a rumor that Snyder wants Cutler and is willing to swap 1st round picks with the Bears as well as sending Cousins to them. If there's any truth to this, do it Danny boy, just do it. Doooo it.

That's a terrible rumor. Cutler is getting benched this week and nobody, not even Snyder will trade for that apathetic coach killer.

At that point he was using his legs to get by. Since then he has gotten himself beaten into an injury prone status with a reputation of not being able to learn a football offensive system. The best you can say is he has legitimately earned a flash in the pan status.

Speaking of Cousins, is he still going to be under contract next year?

If not, I'd love to bring him in as a backup then see if he can't be a solid starter for us in 2 years.

He struggled a bit, but how could he not in that dumpster fire? And it's not like he was awful in every game, because he played really well for the first month on the job. The kid has talent and ability and I think he's got a chance to be a solid QB in the right circumstances.

Cousins is an upgrade to Weeden, even if he never develops into a starting caliber player.

I'd do that.

He is an upgrade to Weeden but I don't care for him as our starter. Either Redskin QB.

Yeah, I wouldn't want him as our starter, but bring him in as a backup and see how/if he develops.

It is not up to him if he will leave the Skins...it is the team option, something like 17 mil for him to come back. As for him reducing himself to be a back up...I just don't see many teams that are going to hand over the starting job to him. He will have to resurrect himself through being a back up, much like Vick did when he went to Philly.
