Devito was the backup going into the game. They had to know there was a chance he'd have to play. Did they have no plan in case they need him? No plays he can run?

And if the guy is just hopeless, why the hell is he the backup or on the roster at all?

Massive coaching failure.

I'd be livid if a cowboys coach let us get into a situation like that.

Except they're just blaming their failure on ownership and threatening to walk away as if they are Bellichick and Pioli.

I'm sure Mara has been interfering and he shouldn't but at the same time they still aren't doing their job well enough.

Works both ways. I'm not a Daboll mark but if the owners are interfering then it's kind of hard to get those accomplishments with the groceries that they have.
