LOL @ The Eagles

I could see them trading down and drafting Bijon Robinson. He immediately takes their offense to the next level and by himself makes up for a lot of "lost snaps"

When you have a high pick like 10, you can do so much in the draft itself. Especially a deep draft like this one.

The eagles haven't drafted a RB in the first round since 1986. I really really doubt they do it this year. They will probably take a middle round back if I were to guess.

It would be the smart thing to do normally for sure, but the Eagles might be looking to capitalize on what they could be interpreting as a closing competitive window.

They should draft the most impactful lineman possible, but they might be thinking they are that one skill player away.

Robinson will definitely make some team very happy for the next four to five years.

Look at their RB history.

Westbrook was a 3rd. Miles Sanders was a 2nd rounder. Duce Staley was a 3rd. They traded a 4th for Ajayi. They already like Scott and Gainwell. They've been very successful finding RBs outside of the first. I just don't see them doing a first for one.

Last year Hurts ran 11 times per game and would've had damn near 200 carries if he played all 17 games.

Cam Newton's career high in rushes per game is just under 9, Vick's career high was right around 8 per game, Lamar Jackson ran roughly 11 times per game the year he won the MVP (his 2nd year in the league) but that number has trailed off as the injuries have mounted over the last two years.

So long story short, I think Hurts has maybe one more year of being able to handle 150+ carries while staying relatively healthy but after that he's inevitably going to start missing several games a year while his explosiveness as a runner diminishes. And he may not even have that long given what happened towards the end of last year.

So right as this mega-extension is kicking in, the wear and tear of basically operating as a 2nd RB will start taking its toll.

Good luck.
