Anyone who doesn't think the season has been successful must prefer living in the former 8-8 world.

To all of you arguing the point that the season is a success: No one that I have seen has said it wouldn't be a success, just that they would be disappointed/pissed if we lose to Detroit. You can be pissed about one and done and still consider it progress.
 
This team won its division, is tied for the best record in football, 8-0 on the road, and has defeated-- no, dominated-- the Superbowl champs in their own house.

Of course expectations are high.

They could beat any team they face, and should beat the Lions, Cards, or Panthers and be favored against the Seahawks.

Because the defense is not superior, the matchup against the Packers is not as favorable but IMO Dallas is a better all-around team than Green Bay.
 
So at what point are our expectations locked in for the season? Kickoff of the first game? I was not surprised by our loss to the 49ers, but I was angry. The 2-14 season I was expecting would have been a "window's shut" season. The one that proved we wasted the careers of some HOF level talent. I don't think meeting those expectations would have made me feel neutral. I think seeing Romo healthy and productive as ever gives me hope, but it would be awfully bitter if we had another early dismissal from the playoffs to show for it. It won't be the same kind of retched feeling I was anticipating though.

I said I would be disappointed but not pissed.

If I'm pissed, that means I want serious changes made.

Other than the fact that Jerry needs to step down as GM, I otherwise like the direction we're headed in. A loss wouldn't change my feeling about that, even if I'm disappointed after a loss.
 
Took a little time today just farting around and watched a lot of the condensed versions of the games all year.

Honestly, if you look at it, it is hard to not see a lot of magic.

All in all, we have responded well to challenges and have had some really really solid efforts against good competition. We did not whip up on crappy opponents.

All in all, it will be a damn shame if it goes to waste with a oneundun.

It is the one and done I fear most. Dallas is its own worst enemy. I don't like this matchup, either. Detroit is both physical and explosive. Dallas needs to get turnovers and begin the ass-rape early.

I don't want some drawn out bullshit with Golden Tate scoring in the 4th quarter to win, glaring with a hardon at Sean Lee dejected on the sidelines.

That is my ultimate nightmare. A good season full of a lot of magical plays and frankly a lot of luck we have never enjoyed squandered if we lose to a who gives a fucking shit team that has zero shot at a title.

All in all, this game should be easy. But we have a way to make things difficult.

We should beat the shit out of these guys.

We are hot, scoring near 35-40 points a game.

I just have major trust issues and it sucks. I want to homer out so bad but I can't.
