Joseph Randle arrested for shoplifting

Posted by Josh Alper on October 14, 2014, 10:43 AM EDT

The Cowboys won their fifth game on Sunday afternoon and one of their players allegedly tried to celebrate on Monday night by taking a five-finger discount on a bottle of cologne and some underwear.

Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that running back Joseph Randle was arrested in Frisco, Texas for taking the items without bothering to pay the store anything for the privilege. Per Hill, Randle was caught in the act by video cameras and police were notified.

A spokesman for the Frisco police department confirmed that Randle was arrested on a Class B misdemeanor charge of a theft between $50-$500. He was booked at the city jail and released after posting bond.

Randle ran five times for 52 yards in last Sunday’s victory in Seattle. There’s no word yet on how or if the arrest will impact Randle’s status on the team.

Per ESPN, he was arrested for shoplifting at a Dallas area mall.

Good call on giving this it's own thread. I was just about to. This guy is an idiot. Especially if he was stealing just for giggles. He is making like $475k this year, so it's hard to believe it was because of money.

What an idiot.

As an aside, this might open the door for Ryan Williams.

This is the perfect opportunity to set an example and at the same time set a tone for the team, that shit like this won't be tolerated.

Your move, Ginger.

Oh snap.

Yep, time to bring up Ryan Williams.

JJT is reporting now that the stuff was worth about 120 bucks.

What a dipshit.

If we were really trying to emulate the Jimmy Johnson era then the Cowboys would treat this dipshit like Curvin Richards and move on.

Cut his ass, right now, set an example.

We do not need any distractions. Especially dumb ones like this.

It would appear that Randle isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

Pretend you're Ginger man. What is the appropriate call here?

As if it matters, it was Gucci cologne and Polo underwear valued at $120.
