Javonte Williams Resigned -- 3 Yrs 24 Million

Now add a legit 2nd guy who can keep the offense functioning when Williams is out.

I'd be interested in a guy like James Conner on a 1/3 type deal if/when Arizona releases him.

I have a feeling he might be in the mix. It is a very natural fit.

Conner and another dude not as retarded as Blue, okay then.

Ok not as bad as I thought, but we still need to draft a good one. Eyeing Jonah Coleman in the early 3rd after trading down

If we trade down and get an early 3rd, I’m still targeting pretty much any defensive position. RB is pretty low on my list of priorities.
We’d have other picks as well, if we do it right. There’s CB and Edge value in the 3rd-5th rounds

These WRs and CBs in the first round are consistently good trade up targets at the spots we are drafting, and the only players that would make me hesitate to trade down would be Styles or possible Downs (Reese isn’t falling).

We shouldn’t need another WR and the gaps between the best CBs and the middle round CBs are not high. I think we can trade down twice, and maybe even more

Definitely. RB isn't even a consideration for me coming off the worst defensive year in team history.

Second RB is important with how play action heavy our passing game is but I don't think we need to necessarily address it high in the draft.

A 4/5 or a veteran like Conner (at least for this year) would do the trick.

We could always bring Miles Sanders back too. :tippytoe
I wish there was a way we could take members and place them in confinement at the Zone for two weeks straight with nothing but the disgusting homers to keep them company. That would be cool. Not saying you in particular. :unsure

FWIW -- maybe nothing -- but Fisher was saying at the end of the season last year that Blue's problem wasn't that he was stupid or lazy like people thought, but that he was having problems adjusting to the pro game in having to be more patient, read his blocks better, etc. instead of just running as fast as he could all the time.

I don't know if I totally buy that considering BS said he needed to learn to practice like a pro, but it made me feel a little better that maybe Blue isn't just a complete clueless dumbass.

We definitely need more breaks for Williams, but I thought Blue and Mafah showed enough to not give up on them after one rookie year.

I wouldn't want to go into the season with either as a starter but I'm ok with them as backups and maybe a Malik Davis type in the wings in case of emergency.

Blue and Mafah is all about the small stuff. I have no concerns about them running the ball. It's the blitz pickups and Blue fumbling that are probably the main concerns. Williams is just so reliable as a complete RB. But they can both compliment Jevonte just fine.
