I don't think I could pass on Manziel at 16.
And I might be wrong on him. I don't think he's an Andrew Luck can't-miss QB.
But he's got too much potential and Romo is too close to retirement for me to pass on him.
And no, I don't care if he sits on the bench for 2-3 years.
Technically you could say he is already injured. It will be downhill from here.Short of a career ending injury, Romo will be here for three more years.

And so I'm saying that I'm ok with taking a first round QB to sit for that length of time.
Don't think the Dallas organization will agree with you this draft. Until Romo actually has to sit there likely will not be a first round dance with a QB position. I can see a possible third round choice this draft but that's about it. That's my observation on how I think the organization will react.
Our 1st, 3rd, and next years first to move up and get JF.
I hate you.
I am liking the chances of Bortles being there too...I'd take him unless someone offered a pile for 16.
I feel he is a franchise QB...cost is right for it. Jerry is smarter than me though, he'll work something better out.
Bortles? Feh. Not entertaining enough for The J.
I get that, but our next QB needs to be taken ASAP. Eventually Jerry will tire of the losing associated with Romo...all the bad luck at public events that seem to follow him and whatnot.Honestly, if we feel that he's the right QB, I could see it. And I like JFF. I just really don't like trading up in this years draft. Too many good players in the top 150. And I really don't like the thought of giving up next years first.

I would hope our GM, fake or not, wouldn't be influenced by that idiocy.Eventually Jerry will tire of the losing associated with Romo...all the bad luck at public events that seem to follow him and whatnot.
